- The center of the Land of Refosco – the village of Marezige

You arrive in the idillic village of Marezige, which, in addition to the Wine Fountain and Gostilna Karjola, has a unique view of Koper and the entire Gulf of Trieste. Upon arrival, at 2 pm, get acquainted with the historical role of the village in the National Liberation Struggle and other aspects of the high-lying roadside village.
An hour later, you will walk to the Čehovin Olive Cellar, where you will taste local olive oil and cheese. This is followed by a “touch of the feet”, where you can feel the touch of the Istrian environment by walking along the mini promenade.
At 4 pm you will visit Lučevec, the oldest vineyard in Istria, where you will taste various wines within the Vilij Bržan Wine Cellar. In the boutique wine cellar, visitors first gather at the “coup”, where cattle were sometimes fed. With a beautiful view of the bays of Koper and Trieste, you will get to know the homestead, part of Istrian history and enjoy the wine cellar. You will walk to the Lučevec vineyard, where the ancestors from the 1880s arranged the vineyard in an original and sustainable way and planted the Refosco vine. As such, Lučevec represents an ambience that combines the positive energy of still-growing centuries-old vines, stone and Istrian soil.
Then, at 5.30 pm, there will be a reception at the first wine fountain in Slovenia, where you will be acquainted with its origin and mode of operation. Upon arrival you will be equipped with Package 1, ie. with a wine glass of the Wine Fountain Marezige, which you keep as a souvenir, a carrying bag for a glass and three tokens that you can use to taste selected wine at the most beautiful view in Slovenian Istria.
At sunset, dinner is on the agenda at the restaurant Karjola, which is recognized for its modern food with a respite from the past. In the summer, dinner is planned on the viewing platform, where you will enjoy idyllic food and a unique view.
2. Wine bus and local community Marezige

Upon arrival in Marezige, you will be acquainted with the historical role of the village in the National Liberation Struggle and other attractions of the high-lying village, which is known for the most beautiful view in Slovenian Istria.
Then, at 11 a.m., board a wine bus (a traditional American bus) that can run without a roof during the summer, allowing you to enjoy the unique Istrian air while driving. The first stop is the village of Truške, where you will visit the Houses of Slovenian Istria and experience the Istrian breakfast, which is prepared exclusively from local delicacies.
An hour later, you will head to the village of Trsek, where you will visit the Herbal Paradise of Slovenian Istria. The visit includes a tour of the entire estate, which includes all herbs, in which a professional lecture is made man – nature – herbs – universe. And everything else related to the cultivation and processing of herbs from seed to the final product.
At 2 pm there is a walk to Mazurin’s mill, which is located on the left bank of the Dragonja river. According to oral tradition, it is over 300 years old and operated until the 1970s.
The next stop (about two hours later) is the village of Lopar, and the house from Bardinec. The house was built two hundred years ago and is one of the still existing typical Istrian houses in the village, where the building of our ancestors can still be seen.
Around 5 pm, take a wine bus to the village of Montinjan, where you will visit the Ecological Estate Vina Montis and Eko Laura. At the reception, the owners will explain the process of production of organic wine and organic oil. During the explanation, you will also get a tasting of three samples of wine and olive oil at the same time.
After extensive acquaintance with the local community, at 7 pm, a dinner is scheduled at the restaurant Karjola, which is recognized for its modern food with a respite from the past. In the summer, dinner is planned on the viewing platform, where you will enjoy idyllic food and a unique view.
You will end the day with a visit to the Wine Fountain Marezige, where you will first be introduced to its origins; Of course, there will also be a tasting of wine and homemade Istrian cold cuts. Wine tasting takes place as part of Package 2, which includes a wine glass of the Wine Fountain Marezige, a carrying bag for a glass and a refill card with which you can try six top local wines.
3. Municipality of Koper with wine troll “PIKA”

At 9 am you will start the day in the village of Marezige with a visit to the Wine Fountain, where you will find home-made Istrian cold cuts, and wine tasting as part of Package 2 on the most beautiful view of the Slovenian coast. Package 2 is intended for an indoor pavilion where you can taste six different top wines. In addition to the tasting, you also have a wine glass of the Wine Fountain Marezige and a carrying bag, which you keep as a souvenir after your visit.
An hour later, boarding the wine troll “PIKA” (Piran, Izola, Koper and Ankaran). The latter applies to the articulated bus, which has a wine fountain in the middle, which can allow you to taste wine while driving. At approximately 10.30 the first stop is on the program – the Church of the Holy Trinity in Hrastovlje. The church is located behind the camp walls, which protected the local population from Turkish invasions in the 16th century.
At approximately 11.30 am, head towards the Škocjanski zatok nature reserve, where a guide will acquaint you with the reserve’s natural heritage and the diverse animals that live in it.
After a one-hour tour and acquaintance with the natural heritage, head to the old town, where a guide will be waiting for you and introduce you to the cultural heritage of Koper, its history and general attractions. In addition, you will walk past the cult Koper café and confectionery Kapitanija, where you can sweeten up with their famous sweets.
A walk through the city center will surely quench your thirst, but don’t worry, because, at 3 pm, the next stop is the largest wine cellar in Slovenian Istria – Vinakoper. There you will receive a tasting and explanation of the process of producing their diverse wines.
At 6 pm you will return to Marezige, where you will have dinner on the most beautiful viewing platform in Slovenian Istria. After a delicious dinner, head across the street to the cult confectionery Refoškoladnica, where you will be able to choose from a variety of sweets or ice creams, among which are a snack of those made from local wine.
You can spend the rest of the evening at the famous Wine Fountain and continue to enjoy local wine and Istrian cold cuts. To the extent that the epidemiological picture will stabilize, there will also be a variety of musical evenings on the program, which, in addition to the view, additionally influence the unique Istrian atmosphere.
